I can't say enough about how wonderful Paula Marrero is + what a beautiful wedding she helped us plan. Paula was recommended to us by another happy bride + hiring her was the best gift I ever gave to myself! She helped my daughter + I plan the wedding every step of the way, recommending excellent vendors, taking us to a fantastic shop with all mother of the bride dresses + letting us know when key decisions needed to be made along the way. We were able to fully enjoy the day of the wedding, knowing that Paula would let us know where we had to be at different times, + that she would take care of all the "behind the scenes" details. I 100 % recommend Paula Marrero as a wonderful wedding...

We loved Paula, she was easy and fun to work with. She listened to our ideas and always had something in mind to help make them a reality. Especially during the last stressful month before the wedding, we were extremely grateful to have her expertise and calming influence. On the day of, Paula handled everything and we didn't even notice (or have to worry about) any of the logistical things going on behind the scenes. Everything about the wedding was beautiful and just what we wanted, thanks to Paula.

We came to Paula with tons of ideas but no real vision of how to create a theme. To top that off, we live 600+ miles from where we married and had no idea about how to hire vendors. Paula guided us without ever imposing her own ideas on us. No matter what we asked, she made it happen. She helped us choose vendors (all of whom are stars in their own fields), kept us on track and kept me calm. Our wedding day was pure perfection. I never had a worry about any aspect of the day; it was magical. All I can say to Paula (and her assistant Caitlyn) is thank you. I was at a point in life where a wedding was the last thing I planned on. You gave me a gift I will remember...

I was married on May 6th, 2011. I had Paula Marrero as my wedding planner......and was EXREMLY lucky to have her. Paula took care of everything from start to finish!! She also did everything she could to make my day exactley how I envisioned it, and that she did!! I would highly recommend Marrero Weddings and Events to anyone who is planning a wedding or an event. Paula was not only exremley professional, but she was also very kind and caring which you need in a person as a bride when you are stressing out about your big day, but Paula does a good job of taking that stress away!! She also hand picked all my vendors and WOW were they all amazing......my wedding day was the best day of my life, and my wedding was absolutely BEAUTIFUL and I give full credit to Paula!! I can't say enough about Paula Marrero. We hired her for the month before the wedding and wedding day. She was in constant contact with us, constantly going over details and making sure that EVERYTHING was done the way we wanted. Not only that, she is so much fun to be around, you feel like she is your best friend from the moment you meet her. The day of the wedding we felt so confident that we all were able to relax and totally enjoy the wedding day. She is truly a gem!!

I think a lot of people still look at hiring a wedding planner as a luxury expense, but after working with Marrero Events, I would recommend this service to anyone getting married on any budget. Planning a wedding can be extremely complicated and finding good, professional and reliable vendors is no easy task. Using a professional service such as Marrero Events is an invaluable asset. I probably interviewed at least 5 wedding planners before deciding to go with Marrero Events. As soon as I spoke to Paula on the phone, I knew we had a connection and that she understood the vision I had for our wedding. Her energy was contagious, and when we met in person for the first time, it was like we were old friends. Paula Marrero with Marrero events is a master when it comes to weddings. I couldn't imagine planning out wedding without her help. She was incredibly professional and gave really great practical advice which was exactly what we needed. Working with Paula is like working with a friend, so important when planning such an important event. We couldn't have asked for a better experience.

I can't say enough about Paula and Marrero Events. From the first time I met Paula I knew she was the right one for me. She is incredibly energetic, professional, and creative. I was not a very particular bride, and Paula kept me on top of making decisions, thinking about details, and taking care of things when I didn't have an opinion. To add to her talents, Paula did all of this while I was half way across the country. She was incredibly responsive with both phone and email, and made all the planning a really fun experience- not stressful at all. I could not have pulled off the amazing, beautiful, very US wedding that we had without the help of Paula.

There are not enough words to describe how wonderful Paula was in helping us plan our daughter's wedding. Within the first week of hiring her, she had saved us more money than we were paying her for her services -- and from there it just got better. Every time I began to worry, she was right there, helping us problem solve, alleviating the worry. She got to know us, our style, understood our budget restraints and helped us create the most beautiful, simply elegant wedding for our daughter. She understood what was important to us and helped us find the very best vendors (venue, food, flowers, make-up artist, DJ -- spectacular) who helped us create our vision -- there was not one flaw in the process...truly, not one. And on the day of the wedding, Paula shouldered all the responsibility so that we could just simply enjoy...who could ask for anything more?!? The worst part about getting to know Paula was having to say goodbye after the wedding....I guess we just need to figure out how to have more weddings -- more parties -- more anything to keep her in our lives!! Thank you Paula Marrero for your creativity, wisdom, humor, and business acumen...a winning combination to be sure.

Paula was a joy to work with! She assured us that every detail would be attended to and it was. She listened to what we wanted and made gentle suggestions. As a result the wedding turned out just the way we wanted it to and it was absolutely beautiful.

Paula is an extremely proffesional wedding planner with a HUGE heart. Due to circumstances beyond our control, our original location had filed bankruptcy, locked the doors, and kept our money, one week before our wedding day!! Paula stepped in and planned our huge backyard wedding in 5 days which went off without a hitch! Our guests are STILL talking about her, and all that she did. What an amazing woman! I recommend her highly to anyone wanting to plan an important event in their lives. She's the real deal! ~Sarah Crow

We did not anticipate how much Paula was able to do for us. She got us great prices, helped us clarify what was important to us, and made it possible for us to get what we wanted and stay on budget. And she was enthusiastic and fun to be with.

I can not say enough good things about Paula and Marrero Weddings and Events. The service is above and beyond..Paula went the extra mile to make my day as special as any bride could ever imagine. She is friendly, professsional, prompt and really treats you as if you were her 'only' client. 5 stars all around!!

Paula Marrero provided wonderful help with my daughter's wedding. It is hard to determine the exact value since I have nothing to compare her with, and so I am trying to be honest in my evaluation. I do know that, overall, she seemed to save us money. Also, the bride did a great deal of her own planning, NOT because Paula wasn't helpful but because the bride chose to do things that way, and because we had already chosen our venue, brought our own florist & music. Paula had excellent recommendations for the catering company, linens, dj, photographer & make-up. Paula was also an excellent sounding board & advisor at those moments when the bride & I were confused about the next step or worried about decisions. She made us feel connected & cared for. MOST important: the wedding was lovely, no mistakes, no problems, and Paula was responsible for that smoothness.

We contacted Paula after dealing with another wedding planner. Our venue was a no service venue, meaning you bring in all of your own vendors, caterers, tent, linens, tables, chairs, etc. We knew that we didn't have the time to research vendors in each service area to find the right fit, but we still wanted to find the best vendors. After meeting another wedding planner and receiving a poorly crafted proposal and not much attention, we reached out for help by contacting many wedding planners in the Boston area who had stellar reviews. Paula was the first to respond to our cry for help and she was on the same page with us from the first minute we started talking. Throughout the planning process, we appreciated Paula's work, effort and attention because we had something to compare it to. Paula knows so many vendors in the Boston/New England area and has long-standing relationships with many of them. Her experience planning weddings and her experience working with many vendors made everything run smoothly on our big day. Paula handles all the messy and stressful stuff about planning the wedding so that her clients only have to worry about showing up for wine, dinner and cake tastings. She does everything to relieve stress for her couples and she takes a lot of pride in that. She is so passionate about what she does and it will show through in the smiles you wear in your wedding photos for years to come. Honestly, we miss her now that our wedding is over. Best decision we ever made!

Paula Marrero was absolutely wonderful - I truly cannot say enough about her!! She is professional, trusting, organized, and extremely knowledgeable. I really never imagined I would want/need a wedding planner (I was concerned about trusting another person to do what I wanted with our wedding)... But soon into my planning, I realized I could use some help. Paula was perfect! She quickly became an essential part of my wedding planning, and I really dont think I could have done it without her. She truly knows everything - she makes sure every detail is taken care of ahead of time, she has an answer to every question, a "plan B" for every issue that might come up, and most importantly the non-stop energy and excitement to go with it. She's really amazing at what she does and I recommend her highly!!

Paula was extremely helpful, especially in playing devil's advocate with us and making recommendations as to what our options were and how and where we should save money. She made herself available at all times and definitely made me feel as though I were her only client. She is hard to get, but well worth the time and money spent researching. She is the best and has handled all of my friends' weddings as well. Thank you Paula!

We hired Paula at the last minute - one month before our big Indian wedding! - when we realized the details were getting a little bit out of control. Paula did an amazing job in picking up all the pieces and putting together a wedding that was such a dream. She quickly got up to speed on what we wanted - even something as complicated as our wedding - and was able to put together an amazing two-night event. She was comforting and supportive throughout the whole process, helped us negotiate with all of our vendors, and really seemed to care that we enjoy the day. In the end, we had a fabulous event and cant thank Paula enough for all of her help!

I don't have anything more specific to say about the wedding itself because she did her job so well that I didn't see a lot of her--I was too busy enjoying my wedding, which is exactly why you hire a wedding planner.
