Dwight Phetteplace Acoustic Guitar

What can I say about Dwight besides he is simply wonderful and a delight. His music was appreciated by everyone! Prompt, thorough with communicating with us before hand, courteous, friendly, professional; in a nutshell, we loved him and so did our guests! I would recommend him over & over again!!!

From my initial phone call with Dwight, I was thrilled. He showed such excitement and enthusiasm. In addition to being an amazing musician, he was truly a pleasure to work with and really helped make our special day perfect. Dwight went out of his way to make sure that we got to hear the songs that were important to us. Having Dwight part of our wedding celebration was one of the best decisions that we could have made!

Dwight played for our wedding in the Arnold Arboretum in Boston (9/24/11) and it was wonderful. He had to lug his equipment over a quarter of a mile to get to our ceremony location (no cars allowed) and yet he did it with a smile and actually seemed to enjoy it. He also DJed our hotel reception (played and sang during dinner and then ran our Ipod through his equipment after dinner for the dancing). He was also able to play our mother-son dance live which was amazing. He is a great musician and just a wonderful person to work with. He is laid back but very good at knowing the details and planning with you. We would highly recommend him to anyone.

We hired Dwight for our wedding ceremony and he was amazing. Several guests commented on how beautiful the ceremony music was and he was a pleasure to work with! I didn't really get a chance to talk to him much on the wedding day itself, but we had several discussions on the phone and Dwight was always so kind, responsive and aiming to please. Overall I think Dwight was one of our favorite wedding vendors and I would recommend him to anyone!

I cannot say enough great things about Dwight. From my first phone conversation with him, I knew he was to play at our wedding. He took the time to meet with us and even brought his guitar to play for us at my request. He was fantastic with he recommendations on the style and flow of the songs that we wanted to have played during our ceremony. Dwight always answered my emails and calls right away. He was very easy going and has a great sense of humor. Dwight arrived early the day of the wedding and played the entire times our guests were arriving. He played everything from classical, classic rock (like the Beatles) to easy listening songs that all flowed together with ease. He was fantastic and we received many compliments from our guests about his playing and singing. Dwight made the ceremony a beautiful one. I hope someday to have an excuse to hire him again! Dwight provided music both for our ceremony and cocktail hour and our guests loved him!! He was very professional and attentive to our needs, helping make our special day even more unique and beautiful. We cannot thank him enough for his wonderful perfromances!

Dwight was easy to work with throughout the process of choosing our wedding music and did a wonderful job. We had him play for a bonfire the night before our wedding and also during the ceremony, cocktail hour and dinner. I felt totally comfortable with him and knowing that he's done this many times before and had all the necessary equipment, microphones, power cords, etc. So I didn't have to worry about any of that. He was a lot of fun at the bonfire and plays lots of songs that everyone enjoys. Really, I have only good things to say about him!

We had Dwight play for our outdoor ceremony. It snowed...and poor Dwight sat out there in the cold, all bundled up, plucking away at his guitar, with a huge smile on his face. We love Dwight. Always professional, always responds right away. He even learned two new songs for our ceremony, no problem. He is a fantastic musician and I would highly recommend him to anyone. Thank you, Dwight!

Dwight did a great job at our wedding. We had a friend we wanted to incorporate musically into the day and he was flexible and willing to help us. I would recommend Dwight to anyone getting married!! Thank you again for helping us pull together our wedding!

Dwight met with us fairly early on in the entire wedding process but out of all the vendors we had Dwight was the one that we communicated with constantly. His templates and professional advice was very helpful during the planning stages as we were having a small ceremony and wanted a mix of classic and pop music. On the day of the wedding he was the first to arrive and set everything up despite the small space the chapel provided he made it work. The music felt perfect for the ceremony and we heard good things from the guest about the music before the ceremony and during the reception the mood was perfect during the cocktail hour and the meal. Dwight provided a hookup for our iPod which we crafted a song list and provided to Dwight for his advice. The dance songs were mostly via the iPod but the sound system Dwight provided worked very well. I have heard a lot of great things from guest about Dwight and my Wife/I were very pleased with our experience. We can't thank Dwight enough for his help in making our day special!

Dwight was amazing to work with. He definately took the time to listen to my concerns and desired tone for the ceremony and reception. I had a few special request that I had presented to Dwight early on in the process, and he was able to accomodate those request. He also was great at making suggestions and pointing out things that I might not have thought about until the last minute. He was most thorough and professional. By the end of the reception, we felt like Dwight was a part of the family.

It is with great pleasure that we write this review for Dwight. Dwight was honestly one of the highlights of our wedding. He is great guitarist and his vocals are soft and soulful - super talented!! He has a fantastic repertoire, and is very versatile; any of the songs can easily suit the ceremony, cocktail hour, and dinner music. Dwight had great insight into our taste of music and made great suggestions that flowed wonderfully throughout the evening. We also had Dwight MC/DJ for the reception, we created playlists and he took it from there. He worked patiently with us up until our wedding day, and then he filled our event with beautiful music, without missing a beat.Aside from his musical talent Dwight has a great personality; he is relaxed and poised and has a wonderful sense of humor. Not only did Dwight provide great musical entertainment, he provided the support and guidance we needed. He was responsive to questions, respectful of our choices, and even helped us decide between songs. We HIGHLY recommend Dwight! Dwight was very flexible and accommodated my requests and had many great ideas of his own. We were looking for some of our favorite folk songs to be played at our wedding and he did a lovely job fitting them into the setting of a ceremony. I planned the whole thing with him over the phone and was instantly comfortable with his style. My only regret is that we didn't use him for a longer time period!

We hired Dwight to play our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception for our May wedding. Dwight was excellent throughout the entire process; he was willing to learn *our* song to play at the wedding, was helpful with suggestions for our processional and recessional, played requests, was early to make sure he was set up with plenty of time before the ceremony... and he got rave reviews from every single guest in attendance. Dwight has amazing skills and knows a pretty wide range of music for both cocktail hour and ceremony. He even learned our song for us and played it for us for our first dance. He is very eager to do a great job and stays in contact well wondering if any questions have arisen. As far as cost, no one can touch Dwight for the amount of time he puts into a contract.

Dwight was GREAT! He played for our ceremony, cocktail hour, and through dinner before the DJ took over. He's great at feeling out the audience and interacting with them just enough that it gets people going and really enjoying it, but not so much to be intrusive. The acoustic was a little quiet for our ceremony, but everything else worked out great. He was very responsive and helpful. He set up microphones for our ceremony and even worked with our videographer so her video will have direct sound. He was an excellent value, part of which I will send back to him in tip because he was worth it.

Excellent gig! Extremely easy to work with, highly adaptive to our last minute change of venue, even as he was on his way! Filled in even when our main band was late, never a hessitation. Great guy to communicate with, very helpful prior to the event, and very flexible to what we wanted. Would recommend him to anyone!

Dwight was wonderful to work with in the planning stages and all the way through our ceremony. He is very professional, highly organized, and experienced in providing a wide range of music for weddings--before and during the ceremony and at receptions as well. Our guests came up to us all evening and especially commented on what a good guitar player Dwight is and that he added much to our ceremony/reception. We would certainly hire Dwight for an event again and can easily recommend him to others. We enjoyed having Dwight be a part of our ceremony.
