Jake was excellent! We met only twice before our wedding and his professionalism made our wedding reception tremendous. He provided all the music we asked for but also added music that was of the same era. We greatly apprciated that he just kept the music going. Very highly recommend!!

Jake is a fantastic DJ! Very professional, very experienced and a pleasure to work with. I really loved his online music portal where we could request songs ahead of time and could really think about the type of music we wanted at our celebration. Jake's music choices got our friends out on the dance floor before our meal was served, and I think that's a testament to how great his DJ skills are. I highly recommend him!!

Jake was great; he was professional, responsive, and easy going. He played a great range of music and worked well with our play list. There were a few songs on our play list that it would have been better if they were played at a different time of the night, but you can specify with a note when you would like a song played (cocktail hour, dinner, dancing, etc). He didn't talk too much on the mic during the night, which was great, I don't like it when the DJ is too talkative. And he had no gimmicks at all, which was also great. He just played great music and kept the night going. Our guests had nothing but great things to say about him as well.

We heard from so many of our guests that ours was one of the most fun weddings they had ever been too. I am sure that most people hear that about their weddings, but we are pretty confident that our guests weren’t lying. The dance floor was packed for the entire evening and even non-dancers got up once or twice. We met with Jake about five months before the wedding to discuss the feel of the event. He was very personable and was quick to reassure us that his focus at the wedding would be keeping the music and the dancing going. He said that he would not focus on being a big emcee and that we would be able to follow the mood of the crowd. After setting up the deposit and all the formalities, we had access to a website that we could use to select music for the structured dances (first, mothers’, last) which was pretty easy and useful. The night of the wedding itself was great. The dance floor was full for the whole evening and he didn’t even have to play line dances! Jake only played two slow songs, which was absolutely perfect. One of the things that was most impressive was that there were one or two technical glitches (as there will be at every wedding), and Jake handled them smoothly and confidently. I have never seen three hours of constant dancing at a wedding!

Jake was awesome! He played the songs we asked for and more importantly played songs that kept people on the dance floor and having a good time. We had so many people tell us that it was one of the best weddings they had ever been to, and a huge part of that was the music. Not only that, he was great to work with. We highly recommend him!!

Jake was the DJ for our 5 hour wedding reception this past August. Our venue had two connecting rooms, one for cocktail hour/dancing and a dining room, and Jake had set-ups with microphones in both rooms. He did our introductions and all of the announcements at the reception (including announcements telling guests to move between rooms). He isn't a "game show host" announcer, he pretty much just let the music speak for itself. He has an online planning system which makes it pretty easy for clients to provide their timeline, names of wedding party and any other requests/information he needs to know, so we had no issues with any of the logistics. The online planner is linked to his music library which has most songs you would hear at weddings. If you really want a song he doesn't have I think you can contact him and he will add it for you though. On the day of the wedding, we were behind the schedule I had set on the online planner, and Jake did a great job trying to keep us on track (5 hours flies by so much faster than you would think!). In terms of the music itself, some of our guests actually commented on how nice the music was during dinner/cocktail hour, and Jake had picked most of the songs himself. For the dancing part of the reception, Jake did a great job playing the right songs to get everyone to dance, and for the last hour of the reception pretty much everyone there was dancing. Overall I would recommend DJ Jake to anyone looking for a laid-back DJ who knows what he is doing and knows how to play the right songs at the right time so your guests will enjoy the music and have a great time.

Jake was fantastic, he was always available for a last minute question and very helpful with suggestions. The Vitamin String Quartette was his idea and everyone LOVED it! He played our requests and mixed his own choices in with them, people were on the dance floor all night and barely came up for air! Overall, fantastic DJ with a great skill for weddings and the best deal out there by far! LOVED the experience we had with him!

Jake did an awesome job. He was very responsive and flexible as we kind of winged it along as to what were going to do and the timing of things. Jake was very professional and I would highly recommend his services!

Jake was great! His communication whenever I had a question or concern was always fast and helpful. He also made it easy to figure out what I needed to pick songs for (cake cutting, boquet toss, etc), as I originally didn't think about these types of things. He also gave me some recommendations for music when I had no idea what to pick. Jake definitely kept the entire crowd on the dancefloor all night and he didn't interfere with lots of cheesy MC'ing like some other DJ's do. He was professional and everyone had a great time! I am very happy with Jake's service and would recommend him to anyone!

Jake was very professional and easy going. We even changed one of our wedding songs at the last minute and did not even stump him. He was GREAT!

Jake was the one and only DJ we interviewed..After meeting him and talking to him we knew he was the one we wanted at our wedding.He was organized,professional and overall a great guy..He knows his stuff and does it wonderfully..Everyone complimented on the music and style..I was super impressed by the fact that he asked our wedding colors and came dressed in them.. Jake was great throughout the entire process. He was always responsive, flexible, and helpful... and on the big day was incredibly professional and made sure to communicate with us throughout the reception to make sure everything was up to par! We had a lot of specific requests and he carried each out flawlessly. We had a day wedding and I can honestly say EVERYONE was on the dance floor the whole time, including the old folks! Can't beat the service and can't beat the price. Thanks Jake!

Dj By Jake (Jake Lewis) was an awesome DJ. Jake was great to work with. He was so flexible with what we wanted at our wedding and wanted to do the best to make the day exactly as we wanted. He was always available to meet and/or answer my questions. Jake is also affordable which is just an added bonus to how awesome he and his services were. Jake did a fantastic job of balancing our requests with our guests'. The music he selected during dinner really complemented the music we requested for the rest of the evening. It was important to my husband and I that the music selection include some holiday music and Jake really honored that request with a tasteful mix of upbeat holiday songs. Jake was the DJ for our wedding - we were so happy with him. Jake was very professional - had helpful suggestions for songs - has an excellent website to organize and review your wedding song choices - was on time - dressed very well - played exactly the songs that we wanted and didn't play the songs that we didn't want - was a great mc - friendly, great rapport with the guests - not loud, but reserved and did not become the center of attention himself - very fairly priced. We highly recommend Jake as a DJ.

My husband was a college radio DJ back in the day, so he had strong opinions about the DJ for our wedding, and Jake surpassed even his expectations. We had a somewhat quirky list of songs and artists we wanted played, and Jake did a great job not only including everything we wanted, but expertly choosing other music to go around the specific selections. Our guests kept commenting on how great the DJ was and how they could tell by the music they were at *our* wedding and not just a generic fill-in-the-blanks wedding. His professional (yet relaxed, and not at all in-your-face) demeanor was also very much appreciated. On the technical side, his equipment was excellent (or so says my husband, not my area of expertise), and the volume was also adjusted perfectly to the space we were in and the pace of the day (something that's been a problem at other weddings I've attended - no blasting out eardrums during dinner here!). I'm rating Jake a 5 out of 5 on value for cost (as well as the other measures) and to be honest, would still consider his services a great value even if he'd charged more.

Dj By Jake (Jake Lewis) was an awesome DJ. He was very pleasant to work with and we are still getting comments on what a good job he did. He was always on time when we needed to meet to discuss things and always friendly. I would recommend him to anyone looking for a great DJ at a great price! Thanks for the great experience Jake!
